Even if the arrival for wheelchair users on the small island of “Nusa Lembongan” in front of “Nusa Penida” from Bali is not easy, the pristine reefs and coves are worth a visit, especially for divers in wheelchairs. Once you’ve overcome the 7 m high coastal edge via a stone staircase, you can move into the Mushroom Beach Bungalows “almost” accessible by wheelchair. Only the restaurant has a few steps, the staff is helpful at any time. A lookout over Mushroom Bay is marvelous. The food in the restaurant is relatively expensive but good. There are many more restaurants on the small road that leads into the island, which is worth a little detour.
We can recommend Blue Corner Dive highly to disabled divers, prices are ok, and – thanks to us – they have experience with disabled divers. Our dive guide organized an extra zodiac boat for easier entry and exit.
