The lodge is located directly on the edge of Ngorogogo crater near the entrance to the National Park and has two disabled rooms, very spacious with large beds. The bathroom offers a lot of space to maneuver, the shower is accessible without steps. From a small veranda, you have a great view over the Ngorongoro Crater, on clear days, even to Salt Lake Magadi.
All paths in the Sopa Lodge are accessible. The restaurant next to the lobby is also very spacious. Mostly there are served an evening buffet with partly International, partly Tanzanian dishes. The swimming pool has steps, it is unheated and therefore only suitable for the hot summer months. the only problem is a bit of cleanliness and hygiene. we had flea bites one morning…Sheets were exchanged and sprayed.
