After a little odyssey through all cases particularly in Viñales looking for wheelchair-accessible accommodation, we finally found this family. To accommodate us the owner asked other guests to change the room. the two steps right at the entrance were always overcome with some readily available hands from the owner Julian. The bathroom is small and the shower is one step lower, but with a bucket and a wiper, I could take a shower in front of it. The room is large and the beds could be moved to accommodate our space needs. However, the highlight of the accommodation is the hosts: Julian and Mayadi were extremely friendly. They accommodated all our wishes, planned excursions for us, and organized the next accommodation in Playa Larga. Not to forget that they introduced us together with the world’s best taxi driver “Leonardo”, who realized not only a boat trip to explore the caves of Viñales in a wheelchair, but even organized a small horse-drawn carriage for a trip to the Valle de Silencios.
The food was of course excellent. We will keep this casa particular and its owners in our hearts.
