Camera Obscura in Havana, Cuba

The Camera Obscura is located on the roof of the Hotel de Los Frailes on the corner of Plaza Vieja, Havana. About a telescope with several mirrors the city views are projected onto a hollow disk in the dark interior. The presentation is in English. The presenter explains the functions of the camera as well as the main attractions you see. Afterward, you have the opportunity to take pictures on the large roof terrace. Except for the two steps at the entrance and some hurdles to the chamber with the camera, the roof is accessible with wheelchairs. An elevator takes guests to the 8th floor. The camera obscura is the only one in Central and South America and really worth a visit.
